After 4.5 years of hard work and development with support from Gwaandak Theatre my play Bystander is being premiered by them! I'm so grateful to Patti Flather and Gwaandak Theatre for staging this production and being such a help to me as an artist. Especially exciting is that they and director Clare Preuss decided to do an experiment and have three actors share both roles in this production! In essence, rehearsing three shows at the same time, and giving audiences the chance to see three different versions of this play if they choose.
This is a great way to test the play to make sure it can truly be played by actors of any gender, ancestry, or age, and also make sure it is just a solid script. Rehearsals are going well and we're looking forward to showing the community of Teslin the play mid-rehearsal on October 10 before starting Previews in Whitehorse on October 13, and opening October 17!
I can't wait to see the final production, and if you are interested too, check out the website for tickets by clicking here!
