Dramaturgy
Since beginning my playwriting journey in earnest around 2014 providing feedback to other writers has been part of my practice due to the groups and opportunities I was a part of. I have always been open to reading, discussing, and providing feedback on scripts to friends and acquaintances. Since about 2018 I have slowly been moving into doing this on a more professional basis.
My approach to dramaturgy is very writer and script focused. Also as a playwright who is mostly self-taught having never studied playwriting in an academic setting, I am flexible to a range of processes and experiences. I believe a dramaturg’s job is to support playwrights to tell the stories they want to tell, how they want to tell it, and I want to decide with each playwright what process will be best for them.
I am open to working on a wide-range of projects although believe my strengths are in dramatic, narrative based works. I am willing to work within a range of budgets. If you want to explore working together, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
For a list of courses and people I have learned from over my career please see my CV.
